Reconciliation Energy Transition（RETI）社は、住友商事株式会社に対し、カナダ東カルガリーCO₂輸送・貯留プロジェクト（East Calgary Carbon Transportation & Sequestration Project）の相当量の持分を独占的に取得する権利を付与した。

CTSハブは、カナダ・カルガリー東部に位置する塩水層深部への恒久的CO₂貯留を支援するため、圧縮設備、CO₂パイプライン・ネットワーク並びに圧入井及びモニタリング井の建設を伴う予定であり、第1段階の目標CO₂貯留容量は年間300万トンと見込まれている。

RETI grants Sumitomo exclusive right on CTS Hub

Reconciliation Energy Transition Inc. (RETI) has granted Sumitomo the exclusive right to acquire a significant equity interest in the East Calgary Carbon Transportation & Sequestration Project.

The CTS Hub is expected to involve constructing compression capacity, a CO₂ pipeline network, and injection and monitoring wells to support permanent sequestration of CO₂ in deep saline aquifers at a location east of Calgary, with an estimated first phase targeted CO₂ storage volume of 3.0 million tonnes per annum.
