マレーシアの大手沖合エネルギー会社のBumi Armada社が開発した浮遊式CO₂貯留・圧入装置（FCSIU）の先駆的な設計が米国船級協会（ABS）より基本設計承認（AiP）を獲得した。

Bumi Armada社のFCSIUコンセプトは、液化CO₂（LCO₂）を、枯渇した油田やガス田、又は帯水層に貯留及び圧入することができる浮遊式のターミナルである。

The pioneering design for a floating carbon storage and injection unit (FCSIU), developed by Malaysian offshore energy major Bumi Armada, has won approval in principle (AiP) from the ABS classification society.

Bumi Armada’s FCSIU concept is a floating terminal capable of storing and injecting liquified carbon dioxide (LCO₂) into depleted oil and gas fields or aquifers.
