Worley社は、カタールのラス・ラファン（Ras Laffan）におけるプロジェクトのFEED（基本設計）調査及びエンジニアリング・調達・建設（EPC）業務範囲を作成する。

完成すれば、この貯留施設は毎年430万トンのCO₂を回収する能力を持つようになり、Qatargas社のQG NorthにおけるLNGトレーン7基及びQG SouthにおけるLNGトレーン3基からの排出量を削減することで、同社のLNGバリューチェーン全体における環境影響を更に削減することを助ける。

同プロジェクトは、カタール及び豪州のチームによって実施され、完成は2024年を予定している。

Worely wins FEED services contract for services for Qatargas CCS project

Worley will develop the FEED study and engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) scope of work for the project in Ras Laffan, Qatar.

Once completed the sequestration facility will be capable of capturing 4.3 million tonnes of CO₂ every year and will help to further reduce Qatargas’ environmental impact across the LNG value chain by reducing emissions from its seven LNG trains at QG North and three LNG trains at QG South.

The project will be carried out by teams in Qatar and Australia and is set for completion in 2024.
