CPGC社、液化天然ガス（LNG）輸送船にBASF社のCO₂回収システムを使用

CSSC Power（Group）社（CPGC社）は、BASF社のOASE® blue 技術を使って、複数の液化天然ガス（LNG）輸送船に自社の船上CO₂回収システム（Onboard Carbon Capture System：OCCS）を搭載する。

両社は、2024年上海国際カーボン・ニュートラル技術・製品・成果博覧会（2024 Shanghai International Carbon Neutrality Expo in Technologies, Products and Achievements）において、OCCSの実船適用に関する枠組協定（Framework Agreement）に署名した。OASE blueは、排ガス中のCO₂回収用に設計されたBASF社のガス処理技術である。

CPGC社環境保護事業部（Environmental Protection Business Department）の統括部長（General Manager）であるChen Haifeng氏は、「中国船舶集団有限公司の子会社であるCPGC社は、前向きなビジョンを持って、海運業界における低炭素化を推進する責任を積極的に負ってきた。我々は、BASF社共に海運業界における温室効果ガス排出に取り組み、低炭素海運のより明るい未来を築くため、緊密に協力してきた」と述べた。

CPGC to use BASF CO₂ capture system on LNG carriers

CSSC Power (Group) Corporation Limited (CPGC) will install its Onboard Carbon Capture System (OCCS) on multiple liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers using BASF’s OASE® blue technology.

Both parties signed a Framework Agreement on the actual ship application of the OCCS at the 2024 Shanghai International Carbon Neutrality Expo in Technologies, Products and Achievements. OASE blue is BASF’s gas treatment technology designed for CO₂ capture application in flue gas.

Chen Haifeng, General Manager of Environmental Protection Business Department, CPGC, said, “CPGC, a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation, has proactively undertaken the responsibility of promoting low-carbon development in the shipping industry with a forward-looking vision. We have worked closely with BASF to jointly address greenhouse gas emissions in the shipping industry and build a brighter future for low-carbon shipping.”
