日本の石油・ガス事業者である石油資源開発株式会社（JAPEX）及びJX石油開発株式会社（JX石油開発）は、従来の石油・ガス事業を発展させながら、CCSプロジェクト案を商業化し、利益を上げる決意を固めている。

両社は最近、四半期決算を発表し、CCSと並行して石油・ガスの探査及び生産に投資することの重要性を強調した。

JAPEX及びJX石油開発はそれぞれ、日本国内並びにマレーシア及びインドネシアで提案しているCCSプロジェクトのポートフォリオを持っている。

Japanese oil and gas companies Japex and JX Nippon Oil & Gas are determined to commercialise and make profitable their proposed CCS projects, while also developing their traditional oil and gas businesses.

Both companies recently reported quarterly financial results, and emphasised the importance of investing in oil and gas exploration and production in parallel with CCS.

Japex and JX Nippon each has a portfolio of proposed CCS projects at home in Japan and in Malaysia and Indonesia.
