ANRAV.betaと呼ばれるパイロット設備は、同社の東欧における初のフルチェーンCCUSプロジェクトの主要な概念実証となる。

パイロットCO₂回収設備の着工式典は、ブルガリア・デヴニャ（Devnya）にあるHeidelberg Materials社工場で挙行された。

パイロット設備の建設は数か月しかかからず、その後の実証段階は12～24か月続くことが予定されている。

規制上及び許可付与に関する側面によるものの、同設備は早ければ2028年にも操業開始でき、CO₂回収能力は、年間80万トンとなる。同施設はまた、この地域で初めてEUイノベーション基金（EU Innovation Fund）の支援を受けるプロジェクトであり、支援額は1億9,000万ユーロに上る。

The pilot unit called ANRAV.beta will be a key proof of concept for the company’s first full-chain CCUS project in Eastern Europe.

The start of construction for the pilot carbon capture installation was celebrated at Heidelberg Materials’ plant in Devnya.

Construction of the pilot unit will take only a few months, with the subsequent demonstration phase is scheduled to last 12 to 24 months.

Subject to regulatory and permitting aspects, it could start operation as early as 2028, with a capturing capacity of 800,000 t CO₂ p.a. It is also the first project in the region to receive support from the EU Innovation Fund, amounting to €190 million.
