Normod Carbon社は、デンマークのグレナ港（Port of Grenaa）における独占権を確保し、2億5,000万ユーロ（約2億9,400万ドル）規模の主要なCO₂貯留ハブに関する初期顧客契約を締結した。

Normod Carbon has locked in exclusivity at the Port of Grenaa in Denmark and signed initial customer deals for a major carbon storage hub valued at €250 million (~$294 million).

Planned to launch in 2029, the facility will be built in phases to handle up to 10 million metric tons of CO₂ per year, positioning Grenaa as a cornerstone of Northern Europe’s emerging CCUS infrastructure.

The project is part of Normod’s broader strategy to develop a network of CO₂ aggregation hubs across the region, ultimately aiming to consolidate more than 20 million tons annually. By pooling volumes at central storage points before onward transport to permanent reservoirs, Normod estimates total costs can be reduced by at least 25%, making more carbon capture projects financially viable.
