自然の力による炭素除去企業であるRewind社は、世界初となる商業規模の深層炭素貯留プロジェクトであるDMSジョージア（DMS Georgia）を立ち上げ、炭素除去の進化における節目を刻んだ。

同プロジェクトは、植物由来の炭素を自然無酸素状態の地下環境に貯留し、分解を防ぎ、数千年にわたり炭素を封じ込めるものである。

Rewind, a nature-powered carbon removal company, has launched DMS Georgia, the world’s first commercial deep mine carbon storage project, marking a milestone in the evolution of carbon removal.

The project stores plant-based carbon in naturally oxygen-free (anoxic) underground environments, preventing decomposition and locking away carbon for millennia.

Located 1.3 kilometers underground in western Georgia, DMS Georgia has already stored more than 400 tons of CO₂ equivalent, with capacity expected to reach 50,000 tons per year by 2027. The first certified carbon credits from the site will be available in early 2026, signaling a new model for cost-effective, permanent carbon storage.
