Adani Portfolioの一部であるAmbuja Cements社が、世界セメント部門初のインド・スウェーデンCCUパイロット事業に選ばれた。

同社は、インド工科大学ボンベイ校（Indian Institute of Technology Bombay）及びスウェーデンのEco Tech社との協力の下、CCUのプレパイロット技術実現可能性調査に対するインド・スウェーデン助成金を受給した。

調査は、拡張可能、持続可能かつ実用化レベルのCCUソリューションの創出に重点を置くもので、従来のCO₂貯留から、排出量を削減し、新しいグリーン燃料や材料を可能にする循環型炭素経済への移行を強調している。

このプロジェクトの下、Ambuja Cements社は回収したCO₂を、グリーン水素経路を用いた炭酸カルシウム又はグリーン・メタノール等材料への変換に活用する計画である。

Ambuja Cements Selected For 1st Indo-Swedish CCU Pilot In Global Cement Sector

Ambuja Cements, part of the Adani Portfolio has been selected for the first Indo-Swedish CCU pilot in the global cement sector.

The company has received an Indo-Swedish grant for a pre-pilot Technology Feasibility study for CCU in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay and Eco Tech, Sweden.

The study focuses on creating scalable, sustainable, and industry-ready CCU solutions, emphasising the transition from conventional carbon storage to a circular carbon economy that reduces emissions and enables new green fuels and materials.

Under the project, Ambuja Cements plans to utilise captured CO₂ for conversion into materials such as calcium carbonate or green methanol using green hydrogen pathways.
