中国、CO2回収搭載型石油生産船がデビュー

中国は、世界で初めてCO2を回収できる沖合石油生産・貯留船を建造し、同国のCO2排出量目標達成に向けてまた一歩前進したと発表した。
国営放送CCTVは土曜日（15日）、全長330メートルの浮体式石油生産貯蔵積出設備（FPSO）は今月末に引き渡されると報じた。
この設備は、中国国有企業である中遠海運重工有限公司が開発したもので、CCS設備を搭載できるように設計されており、1日当たり最大12万バレルの原油生産能力を有する。
同設備は、排出するCO2を回収するだけでなく排出ガスの熱で発電するため、環境保護と省エネという2つの目標を達成する点において類のないものである。
Oil production ship with carbon capture set to debut

China says it has built the world’s first offshore oil production and storage vessel capable of capturing carbon dioxide, taking another step towards meeting its carbon emissions targets.
State broadcaster CCTV on Saturday reported that the 330-metre floating production storage and offloading unit (FPSO) would be delivered at the end of this month.
The unit, developed by state-owned Cosco Ocean Shipping Heavy Industry Company, is designed to carry CCS equipment and has a production capacity of up to 120,000 barrels of crude oil a day.
It is unique in that it not only captures the carbon dioxide it releases, but also generates electricity from the heat of the exhaust gases, achieving the twin goals of environmental protection and energy savings.
