TGS社及びdeepC Store社、豪州ブラウズ堆積盆地（Browse Basin）のCO2貯留評価で提携

上記2社は、豪州沖合ブラウズ堆積盆地（Browse Basin）の鉱区G-14-AP許可海域における、CO2貯留のための地下坑井配置計画、貯留資源検証及び評価を実施する。
同評価は、deepC Store社とAzuli（Australia）Ltd.社が共同所有している許可の下、2025年を通じて行われることとなる。TGS社はこの協力関係について、アジア太平洋地域におけるCCSイニシアティブを加速させる重要な一歩を刻み、CO2排出量削減及び持続可能なエネルギー・ソリューションの推進に対する豪州のコミットメントを強化する、と述べた。
契約を受注したことについて、TGS社の新エネルギー・ソリューション担当執行副社長（EVP New Energy Solutions）であるWill Ashby氏は、「最近豪州でCO2貯留用鉱区が獲得されたことに続き、deepC Store社との協業が実用的なプロジェクト及びサービスに発展していくこととなり嬉しく思う。我々は、TGS社の世界トップクラスの専門知識や先進的なサイト特性評価サービスをこの重要なイニシアティブに寄与したいと考えている」と述べた。
TGS and deepC Store Partner on carbon storage assessment in Australia’s Browse Basin

The companies will carry out subsurface well location planning, storage resource verification and evaluation for carbon storage in the G-14-AP permit area in the Browse Basin, offshore Australia.
The assessment will take place throughout 2025 on the permit, which is co-owned by deepC Store and Azuli (Australia) Ltd. TGS sais the collaboration marks a notable step in accelerating CCS initiatives in the Asia Pacific region, reinforcing Australia’s commitment to reducing carbon emissions and advancing sustainable energy solutions.
Commenting on the contract award, TGS EVP New Energy Solutions, Will Ashby, said, “We are delighted to see our collaboration with deepC Store evolve into actionable projects and services, following the recent award of Carbon Storage acreage in Australia.
