炭素除去技術会社のAircapture社は、シリーズA資金調達ラウンドにおいて5,000万ドル調達し、その資金で工業地のCO2を回収・再利用するために自社の直接空気回収（Direct Air Capture：DAC）システムの規模拡大を目指すと発表した。
2019年に設立され米国カリフォルニア州を拠点とするAircapture社は、大気中からCO2を回収し、顧客の生産工程で利用できるようにする、モジュール式オンサイトDAC装置を提供している。このモジュール式装置は、各製造業者の仕様及び生産ニーズに合わせて統合され、商業及び工業製造業者の生産工程に直接組み込まれる。
同社は最近、XPRIZE 炭素除去（XPRIZE Carbon Removal）コンペティションの一環として、アラブ首長国連邦（UAE）のDACプロジェクトでパートナーの44.01社と共に100万ドルを受賞した。XPRIZEの発表以来、Aircapture社は、Ab InBev社を含む主要な世界的ブランドと複数年契約を獲得したと述べた。

Carbon removal technology company Aircapture announced that it has raised $50 million in a Series A funding round, with proceeds from the financing aimed at scaling its Direct Air Capture (DAC) systems to capture and re-use CO2 at industrial sites.
Founded in 2019, California-based Aircapture provides modular on-site DAC machines that capture CO2 from the atmosphere, and makes it available for customers’ production processes. The modular units fit directly into the production processes of commercial and industrial manufacturers, integrated with each manufacturer’s specifications and production needs.
The company was recently awarded $1 million as part of the XPRIZE Carbon Removal competition, alongside partner 44.01 for a DAC project in the UAE. Since the XPRIZE announcement, Aircapture said that it has secured multi-year contracts with major global brands, including Ab InBev.
