カナダのエネルギー技術会社であるBorna社は、エジプトに4,000万ドルを投資し、フレア天然ガスの回収及びCO2回収ソリューションの導入に焦点を当てた施設を開発する計画を発表した。
この発表は、Borna社の代表とエジプト投資・フリーゾーン庁（General Authority for Investment and Free Zones : GAFI）のHossam Heiba長官が、エジプトのエネルギー部門におけるBorna社のクリーンエネルギー技術の統合を検討した会談に続くものである。
提案されている工場は、メタン、プロパン及びブタンのような、石油探査や抽出の際に通常フレアリングによって失われるガスを回収するために建設されることとなる。

Canadian energy technology company Borna has announced plans to invest $40 million in Egypt to develop a facility focused on capturing flared natural gas and implementing carbon capture solutions.
The announcement followed a meeting between Borna representatives and Hossam Heiba, head of Egypt’s General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI), to explore the integration of Borna’s clean energy technologies within the country’s energy sector.
The proposed plant will be built to recover gases — such as methane, propane, and butane — that are typically lost through flaring during oil exploration and extraction.
