プロジェクト・グリーンサンド（Project Greensand）、沖合CO2圧入システムの提供にNOV社を選定

INEOS社が主導するデンマークの旗艦CCSイニシアティブであるプロジェクト・グリーンサンド（Project Greensand）は、油田サービス企業NOV社の子会社であるAPL社に、主要な沖合圧入システムを供給するための設計・調達・建設（EPC）契約を発注した。
APL社が設計したこのシステムは、液体CO2を輸送船から北海の海底下にある地中貯留層に直接輸送することができる。これにより、APL社は沖合CO2圧入市場に参入したことになり、プロジェクト・グリーンサンドは、この先端技術をいち早く採用したプロジェクトの1つとなった。
プロジェクト・グリーンサンドは2023年3月、世界で初めて北海の貯留サイトで越境CO2圧入を実施し、国際CO2輸送及び沖合貯留の実行可能性を証明したことで世界的なニュースとなった。
Project Greensand Selects NOV To Deliver Offshore CO2 Injection System

Project Greensand, Denmark’s flagship CCS initiative led by INEOS, has awarded an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract to APL, a subsidiary of oilfield services company NOV, to supply a key offshore injection system.
The system, designed by APL, will enable the direct transfer of liquefied CO2 from shipping vessels into geological reservoirs beneath the North Sea seabed. This marks APL’s entry into the offshore CO2 injection market and places Project Greensand among the earliest adopters of this advanced technology.
Project Greensand made global headlines in March 2023 when it carried out the world’s first cross-border CO2 injection into a North Sea storage site, proving the viability of international carbon transport and offshore sequestration.
