EWEC社、UAE最大のCO2回収対応型発電所の提案を募集

Emirates Water and Electricity Company社（EWEC社）は、アラブ首長国連邦（UAE）最大のガスタービン・コンバインドサイクル発電所で、将来的なCO2回収の付設も設計に取り入れた計画であるアル・ヌーフ独立発電事業者（Al Nouf Independent Power Producer：Al Nouf IPP）プロジェクトへの入札募集を開始した。
UAEアブダビ（Abu Dhabi）にあるアル・ヌーフ複合施設（Al Nouf Complex）で建設予定のこのプロジェクトは、高効率でCO2排出量も低減された電力を最大3.3GW供給することになる。
また、海水冷却システムや逆浸透法による脱塩処理装置も設置される予定であり、UAEの長期的なエネルギー需要を支えるより幅広いインフラの一部を構成することになる。
EWEC Seeks Proposals For UAE Largest Carbon-Capture-Ready Power Plant

Emirates Water and Electricity Company (EWEC) has invited bids for the Al Nouf Independent Power Producer (IPP), planned as the UAE’s largest combined cycle gas turbine plant designed to accommodate carbon capture in the future.
The project, to be built at the Al Nouf Complex in Abu Dhabi, will deliver up to 3.3 GW of power with high efficiency and reduced emissions.
It will also feature seawater cooling and reverse osmosis desalination, forming part of broader infrastructure to support the UAE’s long-term energy needs.
