Babcock & Wilcox社（B&W社）は、設計作業及び長納期機器の調達に関する限定的な着手通知を受領し、米国の既存発電所におけるSolveBright燃焼後CO₂回収技術の設置に向けて初期段階の措置を講じた。

Babcock & Wilcox Moves Forward On SolveBright Carbon Capture Deployment

Babcock & Wilcox (B&W) has taken an early step toward deploying its SolveBright post-combustion carbon capture technology at an existing power plant in the United States, after receiving limited notice to proceed with engineering work and long-lead equipment procurement.

The company expects a full notice to proceed to be signed by March 2026. Once fully approved, the project is estimated to be worth approximately $80 million, with the potential for additional scope and construction-related services as development progresses.

The project will use B&W’s SolveBright system, a regenerable, solvent-based carbon dioxide capture solution designed for post-combustion applications.

According to the company, the system is capable of capturing and storing more than 550,000 tons of CO₂ per year, making it suitable for large, baseload power generation facilities seeking to reduce their emissions footprint.
