Bain & Company社、拡大する1PointFive社の直接空気回収購入者リストに加わる

エネルギー大手Occidental社（Oxy社）のCCUSに焦点を置いた子会社である1PointFive社は、世界的経営コンサルティング企業であるBain & Company社と、3年間にわたる9,000トンのCO2除去（CDR）クレジット購入に関する新規契約を締結したことを発表した。
この新規契約のCDRクレジットは、米国テキサス州にある1PointFive社のSTRATOS施設における直接空気回収（DAC）技術を利用して生み出される。1PointFive社のDAC施設は、大気中から直接CO2を回収し液体に圧縮した後、地下深部に貯留するか低炭素製品の生産に利用する。
現在立ち上げ作業が進展しているSTRATOSは、世界最大規模のDAC施設となる見込みで、商業運転が開始されれば年間最大50万トンのCO2を回収するように設計されている。
Bain & Company Joins Growing List Of 1PointFive’s Direct Air Capture Buyers

1PointFive, the CCUS-focused subsidiary of energy giant Occidental (Oxy) announced a new agreement with global management consulting firm Bain & Company for the purchase of 9,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide removal (CDR) credits over three years.
The CDR credits for the new agreement will be generated using direct air capture (DAC) technology from 1PointFive’s STRATOS facility in Texas. 1PointFive’s DAC facilities capture CO2 directly from the atmosphere compress it into a liquid and store it deep underground or use it to produce low-carbon products.
Currently progressing through start-up activities, STRATOS is expected to be the largest DAC facility in the world, designed to capture up to 500,000 tons of CO2 per year once commercially operational.
