Interreg Øresund-Kattegat-Skagerrakによるプロジェクト資金提供は、CCUSを通じた再生可能エネルギー利用の加速を目的とした、国境を越えた協力プラットフォームの確立を支援する。
具体的な行動分野のマッピングに焦点を当てた事前プロジェクトの成功を足掛かりとして、同イニシアティブは今後、分析段階から実施段階へと移行し、3年間プロジェクトにおいてデンマークとスウェーデンの強みをセンター・オブ・エクセレンス（Center of Excellence）に結集させる。目標は、CCUSをエネルギーシステムの統合された越境的要素にし、回収した生物起源CO2をグリーン水素と再生可能エネルギーと組み合わせて、海運用・航空用燃料を製造することである。
総予算120万ユーロ強、EUからの拠出額約74万ユーロとなるこのプロジェクトには、CCUSバリューチェーンにおける相乗効果の分析、市場開発、グリーンCCUS回廊の確立、政治的戦略及び政策策定、オーレスン地域のCCUSハブとしての国際的マーケティング、並びに将来のイニシアティブに向けた資金調達及び提携が含まれる。これらの作業パッケージは、プロジェクト完了後もその成果を維持し、更に発展させる永続的なセンター・オブ・エクセレンスのための強固な基盤を一丸となって構築する。
リード・プロジェクト・パートナーはCopenhagen Malmö Port社（CMP社）が同社のイノベーション・ハブであるOcean Valleyを通じて務め、コンソーシアムにはE.ON Energy Infrastructure社、Green2x社、Nordion Energi社、Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping、Sustainable Business Hub Scandinavia社、SYSAV社、Öresundskraft社、CLEAN、Copenhagen Capacity社も参加する。初期分析に基づき、バリューチェーンの相乗効果、CO2の商用化、政治的調整、国際的なブランディング、資金調達といった分野の共同戦略及び行動計画が策定される。EU内における将来の地域イニシアティブの機会も検討されることになり、エネルギーシステムの国境を超えた相互接続や、欧州における供給の安全保障とグリーン移行の強化に重点が置かれる。

Project financing from Interreg Øresund-Kattegat-Skagerrak will support the establishment of a cross-border collaboration platform aimed at accelerating the use of renewable energy through CCUS.
Building on a successful pre-project focused on mapping specific areas of action, the initiative now moves from analysis to implementation with a three-year project, bringing together Danish and Swedish strengths in a Center of Excellence. The ambition is to make CCUS an integrated, cross-border element of the energy system, where captured biogenic CO2 is combined with green hydrogen and renewable energy to produce fuels for shipping and aviation.
With a total budget of just over 1.2 million EUR and an EU contribution of approximately 740.000 EUR, the project includes analysis of synergies in the CCUS value chain, market development and the establishment of a green CCUS corridor, political strategy and policy development, international marketing of the Øresund region as a CCUS hub, as well as financing and partnerships for future initiatives. These work packages will together create a solid foundation for a lasting Center of Excellence that maintains and further develops the project’s results after completion.
Copenhagen Malmö Port (CMP), through its innovation hub Ocean Valley, is the lead project partner, and the consortium also includes E.ON Energy Infrastructure, Green2x, Nordion Energi, Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping, Sustainable Business Hub Scandinavia, SYSAV, Öresundskraft, CLEAN, and Copenhagen Capacity. Based on the initial analyses, joint strategies and action plans will be developed for areas such as value chain synergies, CO2 commercialisation, political coordination, international branding, and financing. Opportunities for future regional initiatives within the EU will also be explored, focusing on interconnecting energy systems across borders and strengthening supply security and the green transition in Europe.
