Harbour社の新たな節目として、同社が権益の40％を保有し、Ineos社が運営する、デンマーク領北海におけるGreensand CCS・輸送プロジェクトが、CO₂の初回圧入に成功した。2026年9月18日に商業運転を開始したGreensandは、EUで操業する初のフルスケールCO₂貯留サイトであり、初期段階では年間最大40万トンのCO₂を貯留できる。

CO₂は液化され、デンマーク沿岸沖約250km、海底下1800mにある枯渇したNini West油田まで輸送される。

In another milestone for Harbour, the Ineos-operated Greensand CCS and transport project in the Danish North Sea, in which Harbour holds a 40 per cent interest, has successfully achieved first injection of CO₂. Greensand started commercial operations on 18 September 2026 and is the first full-scale CO₂ storage site in operation in the EU and can store up to 400,000 tonnes of CO₂ per year in the initial phase.

CO₂ will be liquefied and shipped to the depleted Nini West oil field, roughly 250km off the coast of Denmark and 1800m below the seabed.
