ExxonMobil社は、アンモニア製造業者のCF Industries社と提携して同社初のCCSプロジェクトの商業運営を開始し、同社が米国湾岸地域で拡大している低炭素インフラ戦略の重要な節目を刻んだ。
2025年に稼働を開始した同プロジェクトは、ルイジアナ州にあるCF Industries社 ドナルドソンビル（Donaldsonville）製造複合施設から年間最大200万トンのCO2を回収し、恒久的に貯留する予定である。

Exxon Launches Commercial CCS Operations With CF Industries In Louisiana

ExxonMobil has begun commercial operations of its first CCS project in partnership with ammonia producer CF Industries, marking a major milestone in the company’s expanding low-carbon infrastructure strategy along the US Gulf Coast.
The project, which entered service in 2025, will capture and permanently store up to 2 million tons of carbon dioxide annually from CF Industries’ Donaldsonville manufacturing complex in Louisiana.
The facility is one of the largest nitrogen fertilizer sites in the world and represents a significant source of industrial emissions in the region.
