マレーシアに拠点を置くYinson Production社は、浮体式生産貯蔵積出（FPSO）設備「Agogo」に搭載されたCCSシステムの稼働を開始し、洋上エネルギー・インフラにおける初の事例を示した。Azule Energy社及びCarbon Circle社の提携を通じて開発された同設備は、洋上燃焼後回収システムの初めての実用化を意味する。
同システムは、オープンソースのCO2回収用吸収液であるCESAR1を採用している。
長年にわたる学術研究と国際パイロット試験によって開発されたこのアミン系配合物は、高い吸収速度を維持しながら、再生に必要なエネルギー量を削減するように設計されている。これらの特性により、スペースが限られ、エネルギー効率が重視される洋上環境での展開に特に適している。
Yinson Deploys First-Ever Post-Combustion CCS At Sea

Malaysia-based Yinson Production has brought online a CCS system aboard the Agogo floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) unit, marking a first for offshore energy infrastructure. The installation represents the debut of a post-combustion capture system operating at sea, developed through a partnership with Azule Energy and Carbon Circle.
The system relies on CESAR1, an open-source solvent designed for carbon capture applications.
Developed through years of academic work and international pilot testing, the amine-based formulation is engineered to reduce the energy required for regeneration while maintaining rapid absorption rates. These characteristics make it particularly suited for deployment in space-constrained and energy-sensitive offshore environments.
