Exolum社は、英国ブリストル港（Port of Bristol）のエイヴォンマス（Avonmouth）におけるCO₂貯留基地の開発を進めるため、Severnside Carbon社と契約を締結した。

このインフラは、イングランド（England）南西部、ミッドランズ（Midlands）、南ウェールズ（South Wales）の産業が英国CCUSエコシステムにアクセスできるようにすることで、ますます厳しさを増す脱炭素化状況への適応を促進する。

この提携の枠組みにおいてExolum社は、Servernside Carbon社及びTécnicas Reunidas社との協力の下、同プロジェクトの投資及び開発を担うExolum 7CO₂社を設立した。将来設置される施設は、同国初の大規模CO₂ハブとなる予定であり、鉄道及び船舶による輸送を可能にする完全に柔軟で拡張性の高いモデルで設計されることから、展開が加速される見込みである。同基地は2031年に稼働開始する予定である。

Exolum to promote the development of a CO₂ storage terminal

Exolum has signed an agreement with Severnside Carbon to advance the development of a CO₂ storage terminal in Avonmouth, in the Port of Bristol, UK.

This infrastructure will allow industry in southwest England, the Midlands, and South Wales to connect to the UK’s CCUS ecosystem, facilitating its adaptation to an increasingly demanding decarbonisation environment.

Within the framework of this alliance, Exolum has established the company Exolum 7CO₂, which will be responsible for the investment and development of the project, in collaboration with Servernside Carbon and Técnicas Reunidas. The future facility will be the country’s first large scale CO₂ hub, designed with a fully flexible and scalable model that will allow for transport by rail and ship, thus accelerating its deployment. The terminal is expected to become operational in 2031.
