イタリア・ミラノ工科大学（Politecnico di Milano）が、産業用途向けの吸収液ベースCO₂回収技術を推進するため、移動式CO₂回収パイロット実験所をイタリア・ピアチェンツァ（Piacenza）に立ち上げた。

この移動式施設「POLICAP」は、イタリアの国家復興レジリエンス計画からECCSELLENTプロジェクトを通じて、同大学エネルギー学部（Department of Energy）が資金提供を受けて開発された。

パイロット・プラントは、CCUS開発を支援するより広範な欧州ECCSEL-ERIC研究ネットワークの一環でもある。

Italian University Launches Mobile Carbon Capture Pilot Facility

The Politecnico di Milano university has launched a mobile carbon capture pilot laboratory in Piacenza, Italy, designed to advance solvent-based carbon capture technologies for industrial applications.

Known as POLICAP, the transportable facility was developed by the university’s Department of Energy with funding from Italy’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan through the ECCSELLENT project.

The pilot plant is also part of the wider European ECCSEL-ERIC research network supporting CCUS development.
