ギリシャのプリノス（Prinos）CO2貯留プロジェクトは、年間最大280万トンのCO2圧入計画を進めており、EnEarth社はVallourec社に対し、沖合開発の第1フェーズにおける管材パッケージを発注した。
この契約に基づき、Vallourec社は、約3,000トンのケーシング及び付属品を供給する予定であり、それにはVAM®プレミアム接続を採用したシームレス炭素鋼及び耐食合金製品が含まれる。また、同社のCLEANWELL®ソリューションも採用される予定である。
同プロジェクトは、枯渇した沖合油田を恒久的なCO2貯留サイトに転換するもので、ギリシャ及びより広範な地中海東部にサービスを提供する。独立した評価によると、確実及び推定の貯留容量は5,150万トンである。
管材パッケージは坑井の長期的な健全性を支えるものであり、同時に、今回の受注により、欧州でCO2貯留プロジェクトが拡大する中、Vallourec社のポートフォリオに新たな欧州CCSの実績が加わることになる。
Vallourec secures tubular package for Greece’s Prinos CCS project

Greece’s Prinos CO2 storage project is moving ahead with plans to inject up to 2.8 million tons of CO2 per year, with EnEarth awarding Vallourec a first-phase tubular package for the offshore development.
Under the contract, Vallourec will supply about 3,000 tons of casing and accessories, including seamless carbon steel and corrosion-resistant alloy products fitted with VAM® premium connections. Its CLEANWELL® solution will also be used.
The project will convert a depleted offshore oil field into a permanent carbon storage site serving Greece and the wider eastern Mediterranean. An independent assessment puts proved and probable storage capacity at 51.5 million tons.
The tubular package is intended to support long-term well integrity, while the award adds another European CCS reference to Vallourec’s portfolio as carbon storage projects expand across the region.
