マレーシア・サラワク（Sarawak）州初のCCUSプロジェクト、2028年までにKasawari油田での実施を目指す

「私の記憶が間違っていなければ、それはPETRONAS社と三菱の間での話である。そして、それはサラワク州初のCCUSプロジェクトとなるだろう」とマレーシア・サラワク州エネルギー環境持続可能性省（Energy and Environmental Sustainability Deputy Minister）の Datuk Dr Hazland Abang Hipni氏は述べた。
同氏は、サラワク州クチン（Kuching）のホテルで今日（26日）開催された第7回世界持続可能性・化学工学国際会議2026（7th International Conference on Global Sustainability and Chemical Engineering 2026：ICGSCE2026）及び第1回国際石油・エネルギーサミット2026（1st International Petroleum and Energy Summit 2026：IPET2026）の開会を執り行った後、報道陣にこのように述べた。
Hazland博士は以前、サラワク州は、CCUS産業に取り組むために必要な立法、法律、条例の整備を完了したと述べた。
同氏は、CCUSには土地に関する法律や土地法（Land Code）が関わっており、これらはサラワク州が同産業に取り組めるようにし、全てのCO2貯留権が同州に帰属することを確保するために、州会議（State Legislative Assembly：DUN）で可決されたものであると述べた。

“That is between PETRONAS and Mitsubishi, if I am not mistaken. And that will be the first CCUS project in Sarawak,” he said.
He said this when met by reporters after officiating the 7th International Conference on Global Sustainability and Chemical Engineering (ICGSCE) 2026 and 1st International Petroleum and Energy Summit (IPET) 2026 at a hotel here today.
Earlier, Dr Hazland said Sarawak had completed the legislation, laws and ordinances needed to enable the state to undertake the CCUS industry.
He said CCUS involved land legislation and the Land Code which had been passed in the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) to enable Sarawak to undertake the industry and ensure all carbon storage rights belonged to the state.
