株式会社商船三井及びIsometric社、新たな戦略的CDRパートナーシップを締結

日本の海運大手の株式会社商船三井（MOL）は、Isometric社とCO2除去（CDR）に関する戦略的パートナーシップの締結を通じて提携した。
この協力の一環として、Isometric社は、2050年までに温室効果ガス排出量ネットゼロ達成というMOLの戦略を支援するため、科学的厳格性が保証された、十全性の高いCDRクレジットを発行する。CDRクレジットは「アイソメトリック・スタンダード（Isometric Standard）」に基づいて認証される。
この共同取り組みは、今年初めに発表されたMOLとAlt Carbon社による岩石風化促進技術を利用したCDRの1万トン規模オフテイク契約を追跡するレジストリとして選定されたIsometric社との以前の協業を踏まえたものある。

Japanese transport giant Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) has partnered with Isometric, signing a strategic partnership on carbon dioxide removal (CDR).
As part of this cooperation, Isometric will issue scientifically rigorous, high-integrity carbon removal credits to support MOL’s strategy for reaching net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. The carbon removal credits will be certified under the Isometric Standard.
This joint effort builds on MOL’s previous collaboration with Isometric, which was selected as the registry to track the 10,000-tonne enhanced weathering offtake agreement between MOL and Alt Carbon, announced earlier this year.
