ユーザーが欧州のあらゆる地域へのCO2輸送費を計算できる、新しいオンライン対話型ダッシュボードが立ち上げられた。
世界的なエネルギー・コンサルタント会社であるXodus社がCCS協会（Carbon Capture Storage Association；CCSA）との提携の下で開発したこのツールは、産業界が様々なCCUSオプションの経済的側面に触れ、分析するのを助けるものである。
ダッシュボードは、欧州（EU-EEA-英国）におけるCO2の輸送及び貯留の経済モデリングを捉えたものであり、これによって排出源となっている事業者は、自社のCO2を欧州のあらゆる沖合貯留サイトに輸送する費用を評価できるようになったことを意味する。同時に、貯留オペレーターは、自社サービスに対する需要がどこにあるのかを可視化できるようになり、一方で政策立案者は、この情報を利用してインフラ・アクセスの最適化を支援する規制的ソリューションを明確に定めることができるようになる。
ダッシュボードは、顧問専門家、エネルギー開発専門家及び地理空間コンサルタントを含む統合チームが18か月かけて開発したものであるが、CCUS部門が成熟し、費用が変化してもダッシュボードが常に最新かつ正確であり続けるように、情報を追加していく熱意が示されている。

A new online interactive dashboard that allows users to measure the costs of transporting carbon to any region in Europe has been launched.
Developed by global energy consultancy Xodus, in partnership with the Carbon Capture Storage Association (CCSA), the tool will help industry to interact with and analyse the economics of different CCUS options.
The dashboard captures economic modelling of the transport and storage of CO2 in Europe (EU-EEA-UK) meaning emitters can now assess the cost of transferring their CO2 to any offshore storage site in Europe. At the same time, storage operators will be able to visualise where the demand for their services is located, while policymakers can use the information to define regulatory solutions that support optimisation of infrastructure access.
Developed by an integrated team including advisory experts, energy development specialists and geospatial consultants over the course of 18 months, there is an ambition to add to the dashboard to ensure that it remains live and accurate as the sector matures and costs change.
