Nuada社CO2回収技術、enfinium社廃棄物発電所で稼働開始

英国ウェスト・ヨークシャー（West Yorkshire）にあるenfinium社Ferrybridge-1廃棄物発電（EfW）施設における試験は、産業用EfW施設におけるNuada社のCO2回収技術の性能を初めて実証することになる。
この試験は、同社のポートフォリオに含まれる英国内の6つの施設すべてでCO2回収を大規模展開し、廃棄物部門の脱炭素化におけるリーダーとしての立場を確固たるものにするというenfinium社の目標に向けた重要な一歩を意味する。
enfinium社エンジニアリング・建設担当副社長（VP Engineering & Construction）のSimon Forshaw氏は「廃棄物発電所におけるCO2回収の大規模展開は、英国のリサイクルできない廃棄物の脱炭素化にとって極めて重要であり、ネットゼロの達成に必要な炭素除去を生み出すものである」と述べている。

The trial at enfinium’s Ferrybridge-1 energy from waste (EfW) facility in West Yorkshire will showcase the performance of Nuada’s carbon capture technology in an industrial EfW setting for the first time.
The trial represents a key step towards enfinium’s ambition to deploy carbon capture at scale across its portfolio of six UK facilities, affirming its position as a leader in decarbonising the waste sector.
Simon Forshaw, VP Engineering & Construction at enfinium, said, “Deploying waste to energy carbon capture at scale is critical to decarbonise the UK’s unrecyclable waste and generate the carbon removals needed to achieve net zero.”
