Fugro社、英国初のCCSプロジェクトに参加

Fugro社は、ノーザン・エンデュランス・パートナーシップ（Northern Endurance Partnership: NEP）向けに統合的な海洋調査・検査サービスを提供する契約をSaipem社より獲得した。これは、英国初のCO2輸送・貯留インフラ・プロジェクトである。
Saipem社は、BP社、Equinor社及びTotalEnergies社による法人化された合弁事業体であるNEP向けに、沖合パイプライン及び関連インフラの設計、調達、建設及び設置を主導している。
北海下に最大10億トンのCO2貯留能力を確保できるこのプログラムは、英国で最も炭素集約的な工業地域のいくつかにおける脱炭素化を目指す。同インフラの操業が開始されれば、排出量の削減において重要な役割を果たすと同時に、進行中の産業活動を支援し、地域のエネルギー安全保障を強化することとなる。
Fugro joins UK’s first carbon capture and storage project

Fugro has been awarded a contract by Saipem to deliver integrated marine survey and inspection services for the Northern Endurance Partnership (NEP). This is the UK’s first CO2 transportation and storage infrastructure project.
Saipem is leading the engineering, procurement, construction and installation of the offshore pipeline and associated infrastructure for NEP, an incorporated joint venture between BP, Equinor and TotalEnergies.
With access to up to one billion tonnes of CO2 storage capacity beneath the North Sea, the programme aims to decarbonise some of the UK’s most carbon-intensive industrial regions. Once operational, the infrastructure will play a key role in reducing emissions while supporting ongoing industrial activity and strengthening regional energy security.
