マレーシア・サラワク州（Sarawak）は、同地域で成長しつつあるCCUS産業を支援するため、越境CO2輸送のための規制枠組みを整備するよう連邦政府に要請した。
Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Opengサラワク州首相（Premier）は、今日（15日）クアラルンプール（Kuala Lumpur）で開催された国家エネルギー評議会会議（National Energy Council Meeting）でこの件が取り上げられたと述べた。
同氏は、サラワク州には、同州の広大な枯渇貯留層をCO2貯留に活用しようとする国際企業、特に日本やシンガポールの企業から、数多くの申請が寄せられていると述べた。

Sarawak has urged the federal government to establish a regulatory framework for the cross-border transportation of carbon dioxide to support the region’s growing CCUS industry.
Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg said the matter was raised during the National Energy Council Meeting held in Kuala Lumpur earlier today.
He said Sarawak had received numerous applications from international companies, particularly from Japan and Singapore, seeking to utilise the state’s vast depleted reservoirs for carbon storage.
