MicroSeismic社及びEverAware社、韓国と地下CO₂モニタリングについて協力

上記2社が、米韓CCUS技術協力を追求するため、韓国地質資源研究院（Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources：KIGAM）気候変動対応研究部（Climate Change Response Research Division）と覚書を交わした。

これら関係組織は、1）CO₂配置の地下におけるの測定・モニタリング・検証、2）大気、土壌及び地下水の地表におけるモニタリング、並びに3）継続的なモニタリング努力の際に収集されたビッグデータの評価を助けるための人工知能分析の利用に関する技術を含む協力分野に焦点を置くことが期待されている。

The companies have signed an MOU with the Climate Change Response Research Division of the Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources (KIGAM) to pursue technological cooperation associated with CCUS in the U.S. and Korea.

It is anticipated that the Parties will focus on areas of cooperation that include technologies associated with 1) subsurface measurement, monitoring, and verification of CO₂ placement, 2) surface monitoring of atmosphere, soil, and groundwater, and 3) the use of Artificial Intelligence analytics to help in the evaluation of the big data collected during continuous monitoring efforts.
