関係企業は今年（2023年）初め、この事業に関する実現可能性調査を完了しており、世界第2位の石油化学回廊である米国テキサス州ヒューストン船舶航路（Houston Ship Channel）におけるこの施設の推奨される立地は、既存のインフラ資産を活用することができる。Vopak Moda社は、バルク液体製品の貯蔵及び出荷インフラに投資しており、現在、貯蔵タンクや複数の深水バースを備えた新設ドックを含むアンモニア・ターミナルを運営している。
Air Liquide社と株式会社INPEXは、低炭素水素製造について協力する。
LSB社と株式会社INPEXは、低炭素アンモニア製造について協力する。
株式会社INPEXとLSB社は、低炭素アンモニアを販売すると共に、このプロジェクトに関心を示し、更にはパートナーとなり得る多数の企業とオフテイク契約を締結する予定である。
Energy and chemical leaders partner on low-carbon ammonia project

The parties completed a feasibility study on the project earlier this year and the preferred facilitys location on the Houston Ship Channel, the second largest petrochemical corridor in the world, leverages existing infrastructure assets. Vopak Moda has invested in storage and handling infrastructure for bulk liquid products and currently operates an ammonia terminal that includes storage tanks and a newbuild dock with multiple deep-water berths.
Air Liquide and INPEX would collaborate on low-carbon hydrogen production.
LSB and INPEX would collaborate on low-carbon ammonia production.
INPEX and LSB would sell the low-carbon ammonia and finalise off-take agreements with the numerous parties that have expressed interest and could also further partner in the project.
