Lloyd’s Register社、ERMA FIRST社CO₂回収を承認

この燃焼後CCSシステムは、船舶の排ガスからCO₂を吸収し、加熱した上でCO₂を回収した後、船上で極低温で液化及び貯留する。

Lloyd’s Register社（LR社）は、ERMA FIRST社のアミン吸収ベースCCSシステムに基本設計承認（Approval in Principle：AiP）を付与した。

排ガスから大量のCO₂を回収できる能力によって、船主及び船舶運航会社は、IMOの強化された排出削減目標を達成するだけでなく、超えることができるようになる。

The post combustion CCS system absorbs CO₂ from a vessel’s exhaust gas that is heated to capture CO₂ and then liquefied and stored cryogenically onboard.

Lloyd’s Register (LR) has awarded Approval in Principle (AiP) to ERMA FIRST for its amine absorption-based CCS system.

With the ability to capture a significant amount of CO₂ from exhaust emissions, ship owners and operators will be able to meet and exceed the IMO’s strengthened emission reduction targets.
