平安銀行、CO₂回収プロジェクトへ資金援助

中国平安保険集団（Ping An Insurance Group）の子会社である平安銀行（Ping An Bank）が、内モンゴル自治区に本拠を置く、包頭鋼鉄集団（Baotou Iron and Steel Group）のCO₂回収試験プロジェクトを資金的に支援するため、1億8,000万元（1億9,500万香港ドル）の融資を発表した。

同銀行の発表によると、この融資により包頭鋼鉄のCO₂排出量が年間36万5,300トン削減されることが期待されている。

Ping An Bank helps fund carbon capture project

Ping An Bank, a subsidiary of Ping An Insurance (Group), has announced a 180 million yuan (HK$195 million) loan to help fund a pilot carbon ­capture ­project from Baotou Iron and Steel Group, which is based in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region.

It is expected to help Baotou Iron cut carbon emissions by 365,300 tonnes per year, according to a statement from the bank.
