Castex社、Carbonvert社、米国ルイジアナ州沖合でのCO2貯留ハブに関する業務委託契約を締結

Castex Energy社の子会社であるCastex Carbon Solutions社及びCarbonvert社が、ルイジアナ州キャメロン郡（Cameron Parish）沖の同州海域にある24,000エーカーの一地帯をCCSプロジェクト向けに開発するため、米国ルイジアナ州と業務委託契約を締結した。
Castex社の技術的及び地下調査に基づくと、キャメロン郡CO2ハブは、2億5,000万トン以上の総CO2貯留能力を持ち、同地域の既存の産業排出源、並びに、特にアンモニアやLNGプラント等の予定されている未開発地プロジェクトにサービスを提供することになると、上記2社は9月19日に発表された共同声明の中で述べた。

Castex Energy Inc. subsidiary Castex Carbon Solutions LLC and Carbonvert Inc. have executed an operating agreement with the State of Louisiana to develop a 24,000-acre tract of land in State waters offshore Cameron Parish, La., for a CCS project.
Based on technical and subsurface studies by Castex, the Cameron Parish CO2 Hub has a total storage capacity of more than 250 million metric tons of CO2 and will service the regions existing industrial emitters and anticipated greenfield projects, notably ammonia and LNG plants, the companies said in a joint release Sept. 19.
