Capsol社、SCHWENK社から実現可能性調査を受注

同社は、ラトビアにあるSCHWENK Building Material GroupのBroceniセメント工場にて、CapsolEoP®（エンド・オブ・パイプ型）CO₂回収技術を調査する。

 この調査は、年間75万トンのCO₂回収を目指す工場用に行われる。SCHWENK Latvija社は、2023年11月に欧州委員会が発表した共通利益プロジェクト（Projects of Common Interest）の暫定的な第6次リストに含まれたCCSバルト諸国コンソーシアム（CCS Baltic Consortium）の一部であり、回収されたCO₂をリトアニア及びラトビアから、北海にある可能性がある恒久的な貯留サイトまで輸送することを目指している。

Capsol awarded feasibility study from SCHWENK

The company will study the CapsolEoP® (end-of-pipe) carbon capture technology at SCHWENK’s Building Material Group’s Broceni cement plant in Latvia.

The study is for a plant aiming to capture 750,000 tonnes of CO₂ per annum. SCHWENK Latvija is part of the CCS Baltic Consortium which was included in the provisional 6th list of Projects of Common Interest by the European Commission in November 2023, aiming to transport captured CO₂ from Lithuania and Latvia to permanent storage sites, potentially in the North Sea.
