JX石油開発株式会社と住友商事株式会社は、米国ルイジアナ州コールドウェル（Caldwell）郡にあるポート・オブ・コロンビア（Port of Columbia）でのルイジアナ・グリーン燃料BECCSプロジェクトへの投資を管理するため、コンソーシアム契約を締結した。
このプロジェクトは、間伐材等の木質バイオマス廃棄物を利用して、持続可能な航空燃料（sustainable aviation fuel：SAF）及び副産物として再生可能ナフサを製造するプラントを開発するものであり、生産能力は年間3,200万ガロン（12万キロリットル）である。
商業稼働は2029年を予定している。
JX and Sumitomo partner for Louisiana biomass-to-SAF project

JX Nippon Oil & Gas Exploration Corporation and Sumitomo Corporation have executed consortium agreements to manage investment in the Louisiana Green Fuels BECCS project at Port of Columbia, Caldwell Parish, Louisiana in the US.
The project is developing a sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production plant with renewable Naphtha as a byproduct utilising woody biomass waste, such as thinning, with the production capacity of 32 million gallons (120,000 kiloliters) per year.
Scheduled commercial operation date is 2029.
