デンマーク・エネルギー庁、デンマークにおける生物起源CO2の回収及び貯留を支援するため、新しい資金を割り当てる

4月17日、デンマーク・エネルギー庁（Danish Energy Agency）は、デンマークのCCSバリューチェーン開発に貢献することが期待されるCCSプロジェクトを支援するため、BioCirc CO2社、Bioman社及びCarbon Capture Scotland社の3社に資金提供を行いました。
CCSを通じたネガティブエミッションのための資金（NECCS fund）の一環として、デンマーク・エネルギー庁は2026～2032年、3件のCCSプロジェクトに年間計1億6,660万デンマーク・クローネ（Dkr）を割り当てます。これらのプロジェクトは、契約期間中、合計で年間160,350トンの生物起源CO2を回収及び貯留すると見込まれています。
この発表は、生物起源ないし大気中のCO2の回収・輸送・貯留が可能な技術の普及にインセンティブを与えることを目指す3億5,000万ユーロ（26億デンマーク・クローネ）規模デンマーク・スキームを、EU国家補助（EU State aid）規制の下で欧州委員会が承認したことに続くものです。
3件のCCSプロジェクトは、ネガティブエミッションの達成を目指すデンマークの努力に貢献すると共に、同国の気候緩和戦略全体の重要な構成要素となります。

Danish Energy Agency Allocates New Funds to Support the Capture and Storage of Biogenic CO2 in Denmark

On 17 April, the Danish Energy Agency awarded funding to three companies, namely BioCirc CO2 ApS, Bioman ApS, and Carbon Capture Scotland, to support carbon capture and storage (CCS) projects expected to contribute to the development of the CCS value chain in Denmark.
As part of the fund for negative emissions via CCS (NECCS fund), the Danish Energy Agency will allocate a total of Dkr166.6 million to the three CCS projects on an annual basis between 2026 and 2032. The projects are expected to collectively capture and store 160,350 tonnes of biogenic CO2 per year during the contract period.
The announcement follows the European Commission approval of a €350 million (DKK 2.6 billion) Danish scheme under the EU State aid rules, aimed to incentivise the deployment of technologies able to capture, transport and store biogenic or atmospheric CO2.
The three CCS projects will contribute to Denmark’s efforts towards achieving negative emissions and be an important component of the country’s overall climate mitigation strategy.
