DNV社及びPETRONAS社、CCSバリューチェーンについて協力

DNV社とPETRONAS社は、マレーシアにおけるCCSプロジェクトのためのCO2貯留サイトの認証に関する基本価格契約（Master Price Agreement）を締結した。
同契約は、両社の間で2022年に締結された覚書に基づくものである。PETRONAS社によると、同契約は2050年までにCO2排出量ネットゼロを達成することを約束し、CCSを含むよりクリーンなエネルギー・ソリューションの成長目標を設定しているという。
「このDNV社とPETRONAS CCS Ventures社間の戦略的提携は、マレーシア及びより広範なアジア地域においてCCS技術を前進させる上で決定的な瞬間を刻んだ」とDNV社副社長兼エネルギー・システム担当アジア太平洋地域ダイレクター（Vice President and Regional Director APAC, Energy Systems）であるBrice Le Gallo氏は述べた。
PETRONAS社は、現在Kasawari CCSプロジェクトが建設中であることや、複数のCCSハブが開発中であること、また、重要な国際協定が発表されたこと等、既に大きな進展があると述べた。

The companies have signed a Master Price Agreement for the certification of CO2 storage sites for CCS projects in Malaysia.
The agreement builds on a Memorandum of Understanding signed between DNV and PETRONAS in 2022. PETRONAS said it is committed to achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2050 and has established growth targets for cleaner energy solutions including CCS.
“This strategic partnership between DNV and PETRONAS CCS Ventures marks a defining moment in advancing CCS technology in Malaysia and the broader Asian region.” said Brice Le Gallo, Vice President and Regional Director APAC, Energy Systems at DNV.
PETRONAS said substantial progress has already been made, with the Kasawari CCS project currently in construction, several CCS hubs in development, and major international agreements having been announced.
