Aquaterra社は、2045年までINEOS社と協力してNiniプラットフォームのCO2圧入に向けた再利用を支援する。
Aquaterra Energy社は、デンマーク沖におけるプロジェクト・グリーンサンド（Project Greensand）CCS開発の一環として、CO2圧入向けに既存の沖合プラットフォームの延命を支援するため、INEOS社との契約を獲得した。
グリーンサンドは、2025年までに年間最大150万トンのCO2貯留を目指している。
CO2は欧州の排出源から回収され、北海に位置するプラットフォームに輸送される。その後CO2は既存の沖合プラットフォーム経由で地下に送られ、海底下1,800メートルの砂岩貯留層に恒久的に貯留されることとなる。

Aquaterra will work with INEOS to support the repurposing of the Nini platform for CO2 injection until 2045.
Aquaterra Energy has secured a contract with INEOS to support the life extension of an existing offshore platform for CO2 injection as part of the Project Greensand CCS development offshore Denmark.
Greensand aims to store up to 1.5 million tonnes of CO2 per year by 2025.
The CO2 will be captured from European emitters and transported to the platform located in the North Sea. It will then be sent underground via the existing offshore platform to be stored permanently in a sandstone reservoir 1,800 meters below the seabed.
